A Little About
​Myself.

Hi everyone! My name is MiKayla Lancaster. I was born and raised right here in Chester, SC and graduated from Chester Senior High School. I am also a graduate of Lander University in Greenwood, SC. There I earned my Bachelor's degree in history: Secondary Education. After starting my job here, I began working on my Masters in Education through an online program with Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. I completed that in 2021.
I look forward to spending time getting to know you and working with you all to move one step closer towards understanding history...maybe even enjoying it!

From my own experience, and from tutoring at Lander's Academic Success Center, I know that history is not for everyone. I like to try and make history come alive for students. For some that is more challenging than others, but I look forward to the day when every student has the light bulb come on over their head.

Past! I would rather go back because I would have the knowledge for how to live during that time.

Breathe Underwater! I am such a fish once I get in the water. Maybe I was a mermaid in another life time!

​Live in Narnia or Attend Hogwarts?
Hogwarts hands down!!!! Huge Harry Potter fan here...I am a Hufflepuff💛

Control the Weather or Talk to Animals?
I'm going to have to side with Dr. Dolittle here and say talk to animals. I can only imagine what they would say back!
