Alright 7th Graders...Are you ready to roll?!?
Man am I ready to travel the world with you! Here are just a few things you need to know about my classroom and my expectations:
So, what are we going to learn together this year? Well, I am glad you asked!
Seventh grade students will study Earth from a regional perspective, focusing on the continents. Students will study contemporary places and regions to identify how the experiences of people are rooted in places and organized into geographic regions. Students will learn about Earth’s physical conditions (e.g., climate, soils, vegetation) and how these features interact with Earth’s other living features.
What if I miss your class?
If a student is absent, they will be responsible for getting the work they missed while out. Schoology will need to be checked every day but especially if the student cannot be in class. They may need to ask the teacher for this work. An arrangement will be made between the teacher and student. Work should be asked for at the beginning of class, prior to instruction.
- Everyday you will need your S.S. Notebook, pencil, and a can-do attitude.
- Come in, have a seat, take out your supplies, & check the board or wait for instructions.
- Most mornings you will have a warm up on Schoology but if that is different I or the whiteboard will let you know.
- Always show respect, it is key in life to treat people the way you want to be treated. That goes for anyone you interact with.
- When it doubt, ASK! No question is a dumb question.
- If you have trash, please dispose of it properly. There are four trash cans in my room so no excuse for trash left on the floor.
- Be courteous, be kind, be prepared.
- Electronics will be properly stored away in book bags unless otherwise told. If for some reason a personal device needs to be charged, please ask me. I will charge it, if I can, behind my desk.
- Not trying is NOT an option. Always give it a try!
